Car Body Painting

Insight @ Audi 2019

including guided tour through the Audi paint shop in Brussels

Integration of the first series-produced e-vehicle into the Audi paint shop in Brussels

In September 2018, the first e-tron from Audi rolled off the assembly line in Brussels - in catalunya red. Participants in the conference "Car Body Painting Insight @ Audi 2019" will be able to see which colours are currently the most popular during an exclusive tour of the former Audi A1 plant. In order to get closer to the goal of electrifying one-third of its vehicles delivered by 2025, the plant has been extensively rebuilt step by step since summer 2016. This also applies to the paint shop, where, for example, conversions were carried out on the paint drying ovens.
The production of the electric car in Brussels is the world's first certified CO2-neutral mass production in the premium segment. Audi offsets all emissions generated during production and at the site. This is done primarily through renewable energy, but also through various environmental projects.

A special highlight of the conference is the guided tour through the Audi paint shop in Brussels. Details on the integration of a premium electric vehicle into an existing production plant and the effects on the paint shop will be explained.
