Doors & Closures in Car Body Engineering 2018

9th International Benchmarking Conference

Functionality at the highest level

Development engineers for hang-on parts face new challenges: How will electrification, connectivity and autonomous driving influence the components? What new functions will future doors and closures provide? Will the car use our biometric data to identify us and automatically open the door? And are these data safe? With regard to electric vehicles, the acoustic behaviour plays a decisive role: interior noises are no longer covered by the combustion engine. Sounds which are not acoustically perceptible today may than become dominant. How should future components be designed, sealed and tested?

The annual international Automotive Circle conference on Doors and Closures in Car Body Engineering deals with the challenges of integrating functionality in the smallest of spaces, constructing lightweight designs, making production processes efficient, flexible and cost-effective, and ensuring crash safety, a modern design and high quality.

Presenting latest OEM series hang-on-part projects with corresponding hardware, discussing current suggestions and developments by system suppliers, engineering service providers and relevant research institutions, the conference again gathers its network of expert automobile engineers from all over the world.

Your input is requested.

Present the audience with your innovations, results and concepts concerning the following topics:
-    Material usage and construction concepts for hang-on parts
-    Manufacturing processes and quality control in the series production
-    New functions (e.g. sensors) for doors and closures including data management/data security issues
-    NVH solutions for E-mobility
-    Visions and concepts for future doors and closures

The detailed conference programme will be published in June 2018. You can already order your personal copy >>here!

Call for Speakers, extended deadline until 15 May!
